Update This outbreak has been linked to Infinite Herbs organic basil sold at Trader Joe’s. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is trying to determine the food source of a new Salmonella Typhimurium outbreak that has sickened 11 people. The agency has started a traceback investigation, meaning that most or all patients said they ate the same food before becoming ill, and investigators are tracing back that food’s journey from store shelves to the manufacturer or grower.

No other details were provided, but can a look at previous outbreaks caused by this serovar reveal any clues?
