MN Stores That Sold Brie Recalled for Listeria

Good & Gather brie Listeria recall

A brie and camembert cheese recall tied to a six-state Listeria outbreak includes several stores in Minnesota. The recalled cheese, made by Old World Cheese Inc. of Benton Harbor, MI was sold under a variety of brand names with “Best By” dates ranging from September 28, 2022, to December 14, 2022.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled cheese should not eat it as Listeria can cause serious illness and death. Among pregnant women, Listeria can cause miscarriage and stillbirth.

Symptoms of a Listeria infection include severe headache, high fever, stiff neck, other muscle stiffness, loss of balance, and confusion. Sometimes those symptoms are preceded by gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. Pregnant women with Listeria infections can suffer a miscarriage or stillbirth even if they only experience mild flu-like symptoms.
