A ground beef E. coli alert includes Hannaford stores.
On April 20, 2024, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA FSIS) issued a public health alert for ground beef that may be contained with E. coli O157:H7 The agency issued the alert Greater Omaha Beef of Omaha, NE discovered the problem during an inventory review.
Greater Omaha accidentally shipped some beef that had been put on hold because it tested positive for E. coli. Foodservice and retail locations including Hannaford stores received the contaminated beef. The company said it was not aware of any illnesses associated with the recalled ground beef.

- Establishment number “EST. 960A” inside the USDA mark of inspection
