Yes! Enoki mushroom Listeria recall

T Fresh Company of City of Industry, CA has issued a recall for Yes enoki mushrooms that may be contaminated with Listeria.  Consumers who have purchased these mushrooms should not eat them as Listeria can cause serious illness and death. Among pregnant women, Listeria can cause miscarriage and stillbirth.

The recalled mushrooms were imported from China. They were sold from January 18, 2022 to Feb 16, 2022  in two sizes: a  5.25oz (150g) size in pink and transparent plastic packaging, with the “Yes” Logo and UPC 825382736718; and a 200g(7.5oz) size in light blue & transparent plastic packaging, with ” Yes” Logo and 825382736947 UPC.

At the time of the recall, T Fresh stated that it was unaware of any illnesses. However, symptoms of a Listeria infection can take as long as 70 days to develop. Consumers who ate these mushrooms before the recall should monitor themselves for symptoms of a Listeria infection including: severe headache, high fever, stick neck, muscle aches,  nausea, vomiting, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions. Anyone experiencing these symptoms should seek immediate medical attention.

The distribution of the product has been suspended.
