Tailor Cut Produce of New Brunswick, NJ, has issued a recall for its Fruit Luau mix containing chunks of pineapple, cantaloupe and honeydew after hospital patients and nursing home residents in southeastern Pennsylvania who ate it developed Salmonella infections.  The Pennsylvania Salmonella outbreak includes 31 people at four facilities.

The company distributes its products to restaurants, schools, banquet facilities, hotels and institutional establishments in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Customers who have received this product should not use it as Salmonella can cause serious illness and death. Those most at risk of severe illness are young children, seniors and people with compromised immune systems.
