Fourteen people are part of a Salmonella outbreak at Doug Sauls’ BBQ & Seafood in Nashville, NC.  The county health department temporarily suspended the operating permit for the restaurant, located on 813 Western Avenue,  after discovering conditions there presented an “imminent health hazard.”

Tests on environmental swabs from the kitchen tested positive for the unusual outbreak strain Salmonella London.

Symptoms of a Salmonella infection include nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea that can be bloody, which usually developed within three days. Anyone who recently ate at the restaurant and developed these symptoms should see a doctor.
