Our Table Cooperative Frozen Blueberry Listeria Recall

cheese recall

Our Table Cooperative of Sherwood, OR has issued a recall for frozen blueberries that may be contaminated with Listeria sold at stores since mid-March. Consumers who have purchased frozen blueberries from Our Table Cooperative locations should check recall information carefully. The recalled blueberries should not be eaten as Listeria can cause serious illness and death. Among pregnant women, Listeria can cause miscarriage and stillbirth.

In the recall announcement, the company stated it was unaware of any reports of illness.

The recalled blueberries were packaged in bulk cases, 2.5-pound, or 5-pound plastic bags. They were packaged on March 12, 2022 and distributed to the following locations between March 12, 2022, and March 29, 2022.

  • Alberta Co-op Grocery
  •  Food Front
  •  Green Zebra Grocery
  •  Helvetia Farm Market
  • Our Table Cooperative
  •  People’s Food Co-op
  •  Canopy & Understory
  •  Milk Glass Market
  •  Shine Distillery
  •  Sweedeedee

The company discovered the problem through its routine sampling program.

Symptoms of a Listeria infection, called listeriosis, include high fever, severe headache, stiff neck, other muscle stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Pregnant women with listeriosis can suffer miscarriage or stillbirth even if they only experience mild symptoms.
