An E. coli outbreak and recall linked to ground beef produced and sold at New Seasons Markets stores have both expanded. The outbreak now includes four illnesses. And the recall has been expanded to include ground beef with “sell by” dates up to November 11, 2019. Consumers who have recently purchased ground beef at New Seasons Market stores should check recall information carefully.

The recall includes fresh, in-house ground beef and ground beef products sold in bulk from the meat cases and in packages from “grab and go” cases at all New Seasons Markets stores in Oregon, Washington and California. The recalled products have “Packed On” dates ranging from Oct. 19, 2019, to Nov. 8, 2019, and “Sell By” dates ranging from Oct. 23, 2019, to Nov. 11, 2019.
