On December 5, 2021, Alexander & Hornung of St. Clair Shores, MI issued a Listeria recall for ham and pepperoni products sold under nine brands names. On December 11, 2021, the company expanded the recall to include a total of 27 products sold under 12 brand names: Wellshire, Alexander & Hornung, Food Club, Butcher Boy, Niman Ranch, Garrett Valley Farms, Open Nature, Amish Country, Amish Valley, Lancaster, Five Star, and Big Y. The products included in this recall bear establishment number “EST. M10125” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
On December 17, 2021 the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA FSIS) website published a retail distribution list for this recall.
