Updated May 15 to include information about recalled product that was distributed. Gerber Good Start SoothePro infant formula has been recalled for potential Cronobacter. Consumers who have purchased this product should not use it as Cronobacter can cause severe illness and death in infants. Perrigo Company of Dublin, Ireland, Gerber’s parent company,  issued the recall on March 17.

On May 15, there was an announcement that recalled product was distributed to stores after the recall. 

The recalled formula was manufactured at the company’s plant in Eau Claire, WI from January 02, 2023, to January 18, 2023.

In infants, symptoms of a Cronobacter infection include poor feeding, grunting breaths, irritability, temperature changes, abnormal movements, and yellowing of the skin or eyes. If your infant displays these symptoms, seek immediate medical care.
