For the second time in nine months, Concord Farms has issued a Listeria recall for enoki mushrooms. These recalled mushrooms were imported from Korea and distributed to retail stores in California. This is one of several ongoing Listeria recalls for enoki mushrooms.
Listeria can cause serious illness and death. Among pregnant women, Listeria can cause miscarriage and stillbirth. Consumers who have recently purchased enoki mushrooms should check all recall information carefully. Other ongoing enoki mushrooms Listeria recalls include:

The Concord Farms enoki mushrooms now under recall were packaged in bright blue and transparent plastic packaging with the following information:
- 5.25oz (150g) packages
- UPC barcode number 001958939091
- Lot code 045633
Symptoms of a Listeria infection include high fever, severe headache, stiff neck, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions. Usually, these symptoms develop within a few days or weeks of exposure, but sometimes these symptoms can take as long as 70 days to develop.
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) discovered the problem through routine product sampling. Distribution of the product has been suspended.
At the time of the recall, Concord Farms said it was unaware of any illnesses associated with the product.
2021 Concord Farms Enoki Mushroom Listeria Recall
This is the second time in nine months that Concord Farms has issued an enoki mushroom Listeria recall. On May 28, 2021, Concord Farms of Vernon, CA issued a Listeria recall for enoki mushrooms imported from Korea. Those recalled enoki mushrooms were sold in 5.3-oz and 7-oz sizes in black and yellow transparent plastic with the Conford Farms logo appearing above the description “fresh enoki mushrooms.”
