Ice cream pints, cones, sandwiches, and cakes sold nationwide at stores including Target, Walmart, Kroger, Publix, Wegman’s, Hannaford, Dave’s Fresh Marketplace, and Giant have been recalled for Listeria.
Totally Cool Inc. of Owings Mills, MD issued the recall for ice cream, sorbet, and gelato products sold nationwide under the brand names AMA Fruits, Abilyn’s, ChipWich, Cumberland Farms, Dolcezza, Friendly’s, the Frozen Farmer, Hershey’s, Jeni’s, La Salle, Marco, Tahraka, and Yelloh on June 24.
Consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them as Listeria can cause severe illness and death. Among pregnant women, Listeria can cause miscarriage and stillbirth.
